Need Help?

Here are answers to the most common questions Indian sellers have about using PurvX India to list, sell, and get paid for ethnic clothing and items.

General Overview

Anyone living in India can sell on PurvX India. You must have:

  • A valid Aadhaar card and PAN card
  • A working email address
  • An Indian bank account for receiving payments

You can be an individual seller selling items from your wardrobe, or a business selling stock. Both are welcome.

PurvX India is only for ethnic and cultural items related to the Indian or South Asian community. You can list:

  • Preloved or new Indian clothing (sarees, lehengas, kurtas, salwar suits, gowns, etc.)
  • Ethnic accessories or home items (like wedding or festive decor, dupattas, potlis, etc.)

Items like westernwear, cosmetics, footwear, electronics, or anything not related to Indian fashion or events are not allowed.

Yes. Both individual sellers (who are selling their personal or unused items) and business sellers (who are selling brand new or stock pieces) can list. You just need to select the correct option during registration.

You can sell both. PurvX India allows:

  • Preloved or gently worn items
  • Unused gifts or impulse buys
  • New pieces from stock (if you're a business)

Just make sure you clearly mention the condition while listing — buyers should always know whether it's new, worn once, or used more than once.

Yes. Only Indian or South Asian ethnicwear and related items can be listed. Prohibited items include:

  • Western or casual everyday clothes
  • Used cosmetics, undergarments, or footwear
  • Electronics, general home goods, or mass-produced imports

Listings that don’t match our categories may be rejected or removed.

Before submitting a listing, make sure you have the following:

  • Clear photos of the actual item — front, back, and close-ups of any detailing or flaws
  • Measurements in inches or cm — bust, waist, and length are mandatory
  • A short description with fabric, colour, and year of purchase
  • Classification — branded, designer, designer-inspired, or unbranded
  • Condition — new, worn once, or preloved
  • Care instructions, if available

Incomplete listings may be rejected or returned for changes before approval.

No. You can also list men’s ethnicwear, children’s Indian clothing, and appropriate accessories or event-related ethnic items. Just make sure it fits the South Asian cultural focus.

No. You just need to:

  • Fill a simple form with item details
  • Upload clear photos taken with your phone
  • Respond to emails if our team needs any clarification
  • Ship your item using any courier after it is sold

If you’re stuck, the PurvX India team can guide you.

No. You can only list items that you own and can ship yourself. Each seller must register separately using their own ID and bank account.

Yes, you can list as many items as you like — as long as each item is listed separately with its own details, photos, and measurements.

Seller Registration & KYC

To register as a seller on PurvX India, you need:

  • Aadhaar card (for identity and address verification)
  • PAN card (for tax compliance)
  • Your bank account details (for payouts)

Business sellers may also be asked to provide a GST number if applicable.

These are required to ensure all sellers are verified and traceable. This helps us maintain a safe and trusted platform for buyers and sellers. It also ensures compliance with Indian laws.

You can still register as an individual seller. GST is not mandatory unless you are running a registered business and cross the government threshold for GST collection. If you have a GSTIN, you can share it during registration.

No. PurvX India is not GST registered at this stage. If that changes in the future, we will notify all sellers in advance.

When you fill the seller registration form, there will be a section to upload your Aadhaar, PAN, and any business information. Please ensure the images are clear and show all details.

Most seller accounts are reviewed within 24–48 hours. If there is any issue with your documents, our team will contact you by email.

You can submit your listing details, but it will not go live until your seller account is verified. We will notify you once your status is updated.

Only your first name or your business/shop name (as provided during registration) will be visible to buyers. Your contact or ID details are never shared publicly.

Yes. We take data privacy seriously. Your Aadhaar, PAN, and bank details are stored securely and are used only for verification and payout purposes. We never share this data with buyers or other sellers.

Yes. You can email support@purvx.in with your updated business details and documents. Our team will review and update your profile.

Listing Process

You need to fill out a simple listing form shared by the PurvX India team. In the form, you’ll enter all the item details, upload photos, and submit it for review. Once approved, your item will go live on the website.

Each listing must include:

  • Title of the item (e.g. Red Embroidered Lehenga)
  • Description (fabric, colour, type of work, purchase year, where you bought it, etc.)
  • Measurements: bust/chest, waist, and length (in inches or cm)
  • Condition (new, worn once, preloved)
  • Classification: Designer, Branded, Designer-Inspired, or Unbranded
  • Clear photos of the actual item

Yes, for all clothing items, you must include basic measurements — especially bust/chest, waist, and length. This helps buyers know if the item will fit them. Listings without measurements may be rejected or delayed.

You should upload at least 4 clear photos. Include:

  • Front view of the item
  • Back view
  • Close-up of embroidery, print, or detailing
  • Any damage or defect (if applicable)

Photos must show the real item and be taken in natural light with a plain background.

No. You must upload actual photos of the item in its current condition. Do not use model images, catalogue shots, or edited photos — buyers need to see what they are actually buying.

No. Each outfit or item must be listed separately with its own price, description, and photos. If you are selling a bundle (e.g. 3 kurtas together), clearly mention that it’s a set and include sizes, conditions, and photos of all included pieces.

Avoid using collages. Upload each photo separately so that buyers can clearly zoom in and see the item. If you use collages, make sure no part of the item is hidden or cropped out.

If you need to make changes after submitting your listing, email support@purvx.in with the updated information. We will manually update the listing for you.

Once you submit your form, the PurvX India team will review your photos, description, and item details. If everything looks good, your listing will go live on the site. If anything is missing or unclear, we’ll contact you for corrections.

Yes. If your item is no longer available or you want to take it down for any reason, email us and we will remove it from the website. You can also request edits or relist it later.

Pricing & Offers

Set a fair price based on:

  • How much you originally paid for it
  • How many times it has been worn
  • Condition (new, worn once, preloved)
  • Current trends and buyer demand

Be realistic. Remember, many buyers are looking for value. Slightly negotiable pricing often helps items sell faster.

No. You should not price a preloved item above its original purchase price. Even if the item is unused, pricing must reflect its current resale value, not its original retail price or sentimental value.

On PurvX India, shipping is shown separately from the item price. You must enter your item price and shipping charge as two different fields when listing. Make sure the shipping fee you provide will cover courier charges, especially for heavier items like lehengas or decor bundles.

Yes. If you want to mark your item as discounted or adjust the price later, you can email support@purvx.in. We can help you update the pricing manually.

Yes, some listings may have a “Make an Offer” option enabled. This allows buyers to suggest a lower price. As a seller, you will have the option to accept or reject the offer.

No. If a buyer sends an offer that’s too low, you can choose to reject it. There’s no pressure to sell below your preferred price.

Currently, we do not support counter offers directly through the system. If you’d like to change your price after receiving an offer, you can email us to adjust the listing manually.

Yes. If you want to offer free shipping or include accessories (like matching dupatta or blouse) as part of the deal, mention it clearly in the item description so buyers understand the value.

You can request a price update by contacting us. Once the listing is live, you cannot edit the price yourself, but our team will make changes for you if needed.

Fees & Commission

Yes. PurvX India charges a one-time listing fee based on the price of your item:

  • ₹200 for items priced below ₹5,000
  • ₹700 for items priced from ₹5,000 to below ₹20,000
  • ₹1,000 for items priced ₹20,000 and above

This listing fee is non-refundable but will be adjusted against your commission when the item sells.

We charge a flat 20% commission on the final sale price. The listing fee you paid is adjusted against this commission when the item sells.

Yes. Let’s say you list an item for ₹8,000 and pay a ₹700 listing fee:

  • 20% commission = ₹1,600
  • Listing fee of ₹700 is adjusted
  • Final deduction = ₹1,600 – ₹700 = ₹900
  • You receive a payout of ₹7,100

No. The listing fee is non-refundable even if the item doesn’t sell.

You won’t be charged any commission unless the item is sold. If your listing expires, you can choose to relist the item again with a fresh listing fee.

However, if your item sells, the amount you paid is adjusted against the final commission so you don’t pay twice.

No. PurvX India is not GST registered at this time. You won’t be charged GST on your listing fee or commission. If this changes in the future, we will inform all sellers.

Yes. When your item is sold, you will receive a payout summary showing:

  • Your item price
  • Shipping charged (if any)
  • Listing fee paid
  • Commission deducted
  • Final payout amount

You can also request this anytime by emailing support@purvx.in.

No. Commission is automatically deducted from your payout when the item sells. You only pay the listing fee in advance — no manual payment is needed for commission.

The listing fee covers the cost of reviewing, processing, and publishing your item. It also helps prevent spam or low-quality listings and ensures that sellers are serious about selling. The fee also allows us to market listings actively across different channels to help increase visibility.

It helps cover:

  • Manual review of every listing to maintain platform quality
  • Platform operating and support costs
  • Marketing and promotion of your item to buyers

Since each listing is reviewed and uploaded by our team, the fee supports a quality and trustworthy selling experience.

Yes. If your item expires and you want to relist it, a fresh listing fee will apply. This helps us maintain a live catalog of active and serious listings only.

Shipping & Handling

The seller is responsible for packing and shipping the item after it is sold. You must use a reliable courier service and ship within the timeline agreed during the listing.

You must ship the item within 3 business days of receiving the order confirmation. Delayed shipping may lead to cancellation and affect your ability to sell in the future.

Yes. You can use any courier of your choice (DTDC, Blue Dart, India Post, Delhivery, etc.), but you must use a trackable shipping method and keep the shipping receipt.

Yes. You must share the tracking number with PurvX India once the item is shipped. This is required so buyers can follow the delivery and for us to process your payout smoothly.

When listing your item, you will be asked to enter a shipping fee. This fee should cover your courier costs. Keep in mind the size and weight of your parcel while setting this fee.

No. Free shipping is optional. You can choose to offer it by setting ₹0 in the shipping fee section or include your shipping cost in the item price. Otherwise, charge a fair shipping rate separately.

Yes. The item price and shipping fee are shown separately on the buyer’s checkout page.

Pack the item neatly using protective materials like a polybag, bubble wrap, or cardboard box. Make sure it is sealed properly and cannot be tampered with during delivery.

Yes. Always take a photo of your parcel before shipping and keep your courier receipt. For high-value items, record a short video while packing. This protects you in case of disputes.

Payouts & Payment Process

You will receive your payout after the buyer confirms delivery or after 14 days from shipment — whichever comes first. This gives buyers time to check the item and helps prevent fraud.

Payouts are made via bank transfer. Once your first item is sold, you will receive an email requesting your bank account details. Please ensure the account name matches your ID or PAN to avoid delays. Your payout will only be processed after these details are submitted and verified.

No. Once the buyer confirms delivery (or after 14 days), your payout is automatically processed. We’ll notify you by email when it has been initiated.

If the buyer does not confirm, we will automatically release the payout 14 days after shipment — as long as valid tracking was provided and the item was marked delivered.

You will be notified by email once your payout is initiated. If you haven’t received your payment after the expected timeline, you can contact support@purvx.in.

Please ensure your bank details are correct before submitting them. Once the payout is processed, the funds cannot be retrieved or reversed, even if transferred to the wrong account. PurvX India is not responsible for any loss due to incorrect account information provided by the seller.

No. There is no minimum payout amount. Even small sales are processed as long as the buyer has confirmed delivery or 14 days have passed since shipping.

If you're listing as a business, it is your responsibility to report earnings for tax purposes. If we introduce TDS or GST deductions in the future, all sellers will be informed.

Disputes & Returns

If a buyer reports an issue with the item they received, PurvX India will step in to review both sides. We will ask for proof from both the buyer and the seller, such as photos, videos, or communication records. Resolution may include a refund, partial refund, or no action depending on the findings.

Common reasons include:

  • Item not as described (wrong size, colour, or missing pieces)
  • Item damaged in transit
  • Item not received
  • Fake or misrepresented brand (e.g. claiming a designer label when it's not)

To protect yourself, you should always:

  • Clearly describe the item condition in the listing
  • Upload accurate photos showing all sides, flaws (if any), and measurements
  • Take a photo or video while packing the item
  • Use a trackable courier service and keep the receipt

No. We understand that false claims can happen. We will carefully assess the proof from both sides before taking any decision. Sellers will not be penalised unless clear evidence shows misrepresentation or negligence.

No. PurvX India does not support returns for change of mind. Buyers can only raise a dispute if the item is materially different from the description or not delivered.

Buyers must raise a dispute within 3 days of delivery confirmation. After this window, disputes will not be accepted unless there's a serious issue reported with strong evidence.

Always use a reliable courier with online tracking and keep your shipping receipt. If the buyer claims non-delivery, we will review the tracking status, delivery location, and shipping timeline. You may also need to liaise with your courier to obtain delivery proof (such as delivery confirmation or POD) to support your case. A clear tracking record is essential for resolving such claims.

Yes. PurvX India handles all communication related to disputes. We will contact you and the buyer to collect facts and ensure a fair resolution. You do not need to contact the buyer directly.

Yes. If a dispute is raised, the payout will be put on hold until the issue is resolved. Once the dispute is closed, the payout will be processed based on the final decision.

The seller is responsible for ensuring safe delivery of the package. If an item arrives damaged, the seller must file a claim with the courier. You should provide packing proof (photo or video) and the shipping receipt. Buyers may be eligible for a partial or full refund, depending on the situation and evidence provided.

Item Misrepresentation & Fraud Protection

Item misrepresentation includes any mismatch between what you list and what you actually send. This could be:

  • Claiming a designer or branded piece when it’s not
  • Showing a different item in the images than what is delivered
  • Not disclosing visible damage, stains, missing parts, or heavy alterations
  • Providing incorrect measurements, colours, or fabric details

Accurate listings protect both buyers and sellers. Misrepresentation may result in suspension or removal from the platform.

If the mistake is genuine and the buyer raises a concern, we will contact you for clarification. In minor cases, you may offer a partial refund. In serious cases of incorrect claims (like branding or condition), the item may need to be returned at your cost and refunded in full.

You’ll be given the opportunity to explain and provide evidence, such as photos of the item you packed, measurements, or courier tracking. If you have followed the listing guidelines and can show your item matches what was described, we will consider your side before taking any action.

To protect yourself:

  • Never communicate or accept payments outside PurvX India
  • Document everything — take clear photos, include all details in the listing
  • Take a video while packing high-value items, showing the item, label, and sealing process
  • Use a trusted courier and retain the tracking details and receipt

If something seems off — such as odd requests, aggressive behaviour, or off-platform communication attempts — email us at support@purvx.in. We’ll investigate and take action if needed.

Unfortunately, these scams do happen across India. To protect yourself, always:

  • Record a short video during packing, clearly showing the item and packaging process
  • Seal the parcel securely and ensure no tampering is possible
  • Use trackable shipping with delivery confirmation

In case of disputes, this documentation is reviewed to determine whether a refund is necessary.

We carefully review such disputes. If your listing, images, and delivery records match the item the buyer received, and there’s no proof of issue, the refund request may be denied. However, sellers must be cooperative and respond to our requests for information during the process.

No. We assess intent and the severity of each case. However, repeated misrepresentation, complaints, or suspected fraud can lead to account suspension without prior warning.

Never agree. This is against our terms and could result in fraud or loss. PurvX India cannot help or protect you in off-platform transactions. Always complete the sale and payment through our official process.

We manually review listings, screen for red flags, and require order tracking and KYC. We also investigate all disputes and work to ensure sellers are not penalised unfairly. Your documentation is your best protection.

Off-Platform Transactions & Offers

No. Sellers are strictly prohibited from attempting to move a transaction outside of PurvX India. Do not ask buyers to contact you elsewhere. Any such activity will lead to removal from the platform.

Off-platform sales remove buyer and seller protection. If a transaction happens outside of PurvX India, we cannot support you in case of fraud, non-payment, or disputes. Also, it bypasses the platform’s fee structure, which keeps the marketplace running fairly for all.

Currently, all buyer inquiries and communications are handled by the PurvX India team. This is to ensure trust and reduce the risk of scams or confusion. If a buyer needs more info, we’ll reach out to you directly.

Sellers who attempt to direct buyers away from PurvX India may be permanently removed. This includes sharing contact details, asking buyers to DM, or posting social media handles in product descriptions.

All questions are sent through our support team. If a buyer asks something relevant (e.g. more photos, clarification), we’ll get in touch with you and pass on the request. This helps keep everything secure and accountable.

Listing & Pricing Questions

You can list Indian ethnic wear and related items like:

  • Sarees, lehengas, kurtas, salwar suits, gowns
  • Blouses, dupattas, stoles, skirts
  • Men’s sherwanis, kurta sets, jackets
  • Kids’ ethnic outfits
  • Home decor for desi functions (e.g. wedding decor, pooja items)

No. Each individual item should have its own separate listing. If you're selling a bundle (e.g. 5 blouses together), make it clear that it is a bundled listing and describe each item in the set.

We accept:

  • Preloved items worn once or a few times, in good usable condition
  • New but unused items (e.g. gifts, impulse buys)
  • Business stock (if you're a seller with inventory)

We do not allow heavily damaged, stained, or unusable garments.

No. PurvX India is currently only for buying and selling, not for rentals. Please do not list items as “for rent.”

Yes, but you must clearly mention that the item is unstitched or semi-stitched in both the title and description. Add fabric measurements wherever possible.

Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

Buyers may be eligible for a refund if the item is significantly different from the listing, arrives damaged, or is not delivered. Each case is reviewed based on evidence from both sides.

Returns may be required if there is a clear issue with the item — such as wrong size sent, undisclosed defects, or incorrect product. If proven, the seller is expected to cooperate fully and arrange return shipping at their own cost.

Last-minute cancellations damage buyer trust. If your item is unavailable or you're unable to ship, notify us immediately. Frequent cancellations may lead to penalties or account suspension.

Make an Offer / Negotiations

Yes. During the listing process, you can choose to enable the “Make an Offer” option and set:

  • A minimum price you are willing to accept
  • An instant auto-accept price (if you want faster sales)

Offers below your minimum will be automatically rejected.

Yes. You will receive an email notification with the offer details. You can choose to accept or ignore it. If ignored, the offer expires after a set period.

No. Buyers can make one offer per item, and sellers can either accept or reject it. There is no back-and-forth or multiple rounds of negotiation.

Buyers can submit only one offer per item. Sellers can either accept or reject that offer. There is no chat or counter-offer feature available at this stage.

Inactive or Unresponsive Sellers

Sellers must respond within 48 hours of a sale. If you remain inactive, the order may be cancelled and your account reviewed. Repeated unresponsiveness can lead to removal from the platform.

Yes. If a seller fails to ship, provide tracking, or respond to buyer issues, payouts may be delayed or blocked until the situation is resolved.

Responsiveness and reliability are key to building trust. Inactive sellers lead to poor buyer experience, low platform ratings, and ultimately reduced visibility for your listings.

Yes. You’ll receive an email when an order is placed. Ensure your registered email is active and checked regularly. We are not responsible for missed communication due to inactive inboxes.

Currently, sellers cannot pause listings directly. If you're going to be unavailable for a few days, please notify the PurvX India team in advance to temporarily hide your listings and avoid cancellations.
